We would like to introduce ourselves by sharing briefly
“What We Believe”
The Apostle’s Creed (traditional language)“I BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.”
On a more personal note, because of our experiences in life, we believe that everybody needs a church family.
Many of us have been born into a good church. Many of us have happy memories of Sunday School classes, church pot luck suppers, singing classic hymns, and knowing the loving support and friendship of church members.
On the other hand, we notice that many in our community have missed out on these benefits of participation in a local church congregation. They may feel lonely and lost. They may struggle alone with the problems and challenges of life, without the love and hope that comes from sharing life with Christian friends.
Some of us have made a conscious decision to participate in the life of the church. We made a new priority to attend worship services on most Sunday mornings. We joined a small group Bible Study to learn and grow in our understanding of faith. We made the effort to make new friends through the social events of the church, including fellowship meals and service projects to serve others.
Do you have a church home in the community?
Do you attend regularly? Are you happy there?
